What it is for
Promotes light uptake, ripening, flavour formation and resilience. Works through the leaf and strengthens the upper parts of the plant.
Dose and application
Amount: 4 g/ha in 25–60 L water (home garden: 1 g in 10–15 L for 2,500 m²). In orchards and soft fruit plantations about 8 g/ha in 100–150 L. Stir rhythmically for 1 hour. Spray over the plants as the finest mist. To promote growth: early in the morning with dew, before 8 am. For ripening/flavour: afternoon/evening. Never on drought-stressed plants – 501 increases evaporation and can cause wilting! Not in full midday sun. On young plants only from the 3rd–4th leaf. Viticulture: from the 5-leaf stage; 3 weeks before harvest it improves grape quality (Masson). Root vegetables: in the evening 2–3 weeks before harvest for higher sugar content and better keeping quality.
