The short version

This site sets no cookies and embeds no advertising networks. There is no account and no sign-in. We count how many people read which pages with Umami, a service that works without cookies (see Audience measurement).

When you open a page

To deliver a page, the server processes what is technically needed for it: IP address, time of the request, the address requested, the response status, the amount of data transferred and what the browser reports about itself.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in delivering the site reliably and securely (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). This information is not combined with other data and is not used to recognise individual people.

Hosting

The site runs on Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. Vercel processes the above information on our behalf and is contractually bound to do so (Art. 28 GDPR).

Data may be transferred to the United States in the process. The transfer relies on the safeguards provided for this purpose; we will explain the details on request.

Audience measurement

To see which pages are read, how visitors find us and which links to the shop are used, we count visits with Umami, open-source software that we run on our own server at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. We serve the counting script from our own domain; the browser sends the count to that server.

What is transmitted: the address visited, the page title, the referring page, screen size and browser language and, for clicks on links to the shop, the link’s destination. From the IP address and browser details, Umami derives country, device type, browser and operating system and forms an identifier that groups visits together. Umami sets no cookies; IP addresses are not stored.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in shaping the site around what people read (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data stays on our server in Germany; Hetzner, as a processor, only provides the server (Art. 28 GDPR).

What is stored on your device

This site sets no cookies. A few settings stay in your browser’s local storage so that they still apply on your next visit: the time zone you chose yourself ("dyyna.zeitzone"), the dismissal of the notice about another language ("dyyna.sprache"), and in the calendar the growing type you chose ("dyyna.anbau"), the hemisphere ("dyyna.halbkugel") and the place for the weather, that is the postcode you entered or the choice "Use my location" ("dyyna.ort").

All of this stays on your device, is never sent to us, and can be deleted in your browser settings at any time.

Weather and location

The weather forecast in the calendar only appears if you enter a postcode or share your location. With a postcode, your device asks the service Zippopotam.us (api.zippopotam.us) for the place and its coordinates; if that gives no usable point, it looks the place name up at Open-Meteo. The coordinates then go to Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com), which supplies the forecast.

With "Use my location", the browser or the phone first asks for your permission. Only then does the calendar read the location, round it to two decimal places (about one kilometre) and send only these coordinates to Open-Meteo. No search for a place or address belonging to these coordinates takes place.

These requests go directly from your device to the services; like any server you contact, they see your IP address. We ourselves receive neither the postcode nor the location. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing the forecast you asked for (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The Dyyna app for iPhone and Android

The app calculates the calendar on the phone. It has no account, sets no cookies and counts no visits; there is no audience measurement in the app as there is on the website.

Stored on the phone are the settings from the section above, plus the area, the stock of preparations you entered, the diary of applications, the reminder setting, the chosen language, the tab you last opened and the last loaded state of the shop range. None of this is sent to us. Deleting the app deletes this data with it.

Reminders on the evening before are notifications the app schedules on the phone itself. They run through no server and only appear once you allow notifications in the phone’s settings.

The "Shop" tab loads the range from praeparatekiste.de, the Präparatekiste shop of Rankwerk GmbH, which runs on Shopify; in doing so, Shopify sees the phone’s IP address. Purchases are made in the phone’s browser, where the privacy policy of praeparatekiste.de applies. For weather and location, the section above applies.

Fonts

The fonts are hosted on our own server and loaded from there. Opening the site creates no connection to Google Fonts or any other third-party service.

Calendar mail

Signing up for calendar mail means giving an email address. It goes, together with the language of the sign-up, to Mailchimp, which sends a message with a confirmation link. Until that click the address is held there as unconfirmed and receives no mail. The legal basis is consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

After confirmation our list holds the address, the language and the time of confirmation — the last one so that the consent can be evidenced. The list and the sending run through Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC, USA), which processes on our behalf.

Every message carries an unsubscribe link. It does not expire. After unsubscribing, no further mail goes to that address.

What this site does not have

No account, no sign-in, no contact form, no payment, no embedded maps, videos or social network buttons. The moment any of that changes, this statement changes first.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data processed about you, to have it corrected, erased or its processing restricted, to data portability, and to object to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). A message to info@dyyna.bio is enough.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Independent Centre for Privacy Protection Schleswig-Holstein (ULD).

Changes

If what the site does changes, this statement is updated. The version shown here is the one that applies.
