Biodynamic preparations in July — plant protection in high summer
In high summer, plant protection comes first: horsetail against fungal pressure, horn manure and horn silica on grassland — and the stinging nettle is buried.
In high summer, plant protection moves to the fore. Warmth and moisture favour fungal diseases — horsetail (508) is now the remedy of choice, sprayed preventively. On grassland, horn manure and horn silica continue after each use.
In making, the stinging nettle begins the long maturing path of a special preparation: it stays in the ground for around a year.
Grassland and arable
- Grassland: horn manure after each use, horn silica around two weeks later.
- Cereals: horsetail when there is a risk of fungal attack.
Vegetable garden
- Horn manure and horn silica according to the crops' stage of development.
- Horsetail tea under fungal pressure.
Vines and fruit
- Horsetail when there is a risk of fungal attack.
Making
- Horsetail (508) and chamomile (503): collect and dry.
- Valerian (507): extract the juice.
- Stinging nettle (504): collect and bury — the stinging nettle preparation matures in the ground for around a year.
