Calendar app and printed booklet
The lunar calendar 2027 – on your phone and on paper
Every day of the year in the calendar on dyyna.bio, with the change of constellation to the minute and the times for your location. And as a printed booklet (in German) with sowing plan and logbook.

The lunar calendar 2027 shows for every month on which days root, leaf, flower and fruit plants are due, when to plant and which hours to leave free in the garden. The days are calculated from the constellations the Moon stands in front of, as in Maria Thun's biodynamic sowing calendar. The times are Central European Time as in Berlin; in the UK, Ireland and Portugal they are one hour earlier.
At the top is the year at a glance with all full and new Moons, below it every month with its days and what is due in the garden. Today's day is shown in the lunar calendar for today.
The 2027 gardening year at a glance
2027 has 107 root days, 83 leaf days, 78 flower days and 97 fruit days. On 161 days the constellation does not change and there are no unfavourable hours. These favourable days have their own column in the monthly tables.

Easter falls on 28 March. The biodynamic calendar leaves the time from Good Friday, 26 March, until sunrise on Easter Sunday free, in Berlin until 6:51. Summer time begins on the same Sunday and ends on 31 October. All times in between are summer time.
On 2 August 2027 a total solar eclipse crosses southern Spain, North Africa and Egypt. In Central Europe it can be seen around midday as a partial eclipse: in Munich the Moon covers 59 per cent of the Sun's diameter, in Berlin 45 and in Hamburg 43. In the calendar 2 August is a difficult day anyway, because new Moon, perigee, lunar node and the eclipse coincide. The other eclipses of the year: an annular solar eclipse on 6 February over South America, a penumbral lunar eclipse in the night to 21 February, visible from Central Europe, and two more penumbral lunar eclipses on 18 July and 17 August that cannot be seen from Central Europe. The calendar lists all of them as unfavourable for the duration of the eclipse.
The largest full Moon of the year is the supermoon on 22 January, 357,644 kilometres from the Earth. August has two new Moons, on 2 and 31 August.

The lunar calendar 2027 month by month
This is how to read the monthly tables. The day type depends on the constellation the Moon stands in front of for most of the day. If the constellation changes during the day, the new day type applies from the time of the change; it is given on the linked month pages. Favourable days are days without a change and without unfavourable hours; on them the day type applies from morning to evening. The planting period is the days with a descending Moon, on which you plant, transplant, feed and prune. Under "Unfavourable times" are the hours in which you do not sow or plant: lunar nodes, perigee, planetary nodes, occultations of a planet by the Moon, eclipses and the Easter days.

How to use the lunar calendar 2027 in the garden
First look in the monthly table for the day type that suits the plant: carrots on a root day, lettuce on a leaf day, flowers and broccoli on a flower day, tomatoes and beans on a fruit day. If you plant, transplant or feed, put the job in the planting period. Harvesting is best done outside it, with an ascending Moon. The unfavourable hours stay free. And if the soil is too wet or too cold, wait for the next suitable day, even if the calendar shows a good one.
Which plant belongs to which day type and where the rules come from is explained in the guide Gardening by the Moon. For individual jobs there are separate pages with the next suitable days: planting, repotting, pruning, feeding and soil work, harvesting and grafting.

Frequently asked questions about the lunar calendar 2027
When is the full Moon in 2027?
On 22 January, 21 February, 22 March, 21 April, 20 May, 19 June, 18 July, 17 August, 16 September, 15 October, 14 November and 13 December. The times are in the table above.
When is the new Moon in 2027?
On 7 January, 6 February, 8 March, 7 April, 6 May, 4 June, 4 July, 2 August, 31 August, 30 September, 29 October, 28 November and 27 December. August has two new Moons.
When is the planting period in spring 2027?
The planting period is the days with a descending Moon. In spring 2027 these are 16 to 28 March, 12 to 24 April and 9 to 21 May. The Easter days from 26 to 28 March stay free.
How many root days does 2027 have?
107 root days, plus 83 leaf days, 78 flower days and 97 fruit days. The days are distributed unevenly because the constellations differ in width in the sky.
When can the 2027 solar eclipse be seen?
On 2 August 2027 around midday. The path of totality crosses southern Spain; in Central Europe the eclipse is partial. In Munich the Moon covers 59 per cent of the Sun's diameter, in Berlin 45 per cent. In the lunar calendar the time from 9:30 to 14:43 is unfavourable.
Why is Easter unfavourable in the lunar calendar?
The biodynamic calendar leaves the days from Good Friday to sunrise on Easter Sunday free, whatever day type applies. In 2027 that is 26 March from midnight until 28 March at 6:51.
Does the lunar calendar 2027 also apply in the UK and Ireland?
Yes. The constellation in front of the Moon, and with it the day type, is the same everywhere; only the times depend on the time zone. In the UK and Ireland all times are one hour earlier than in the tables. The Dyyna calendar online calculates them for your own time zone.
Is the lunar calendar 2027 available free of charge?
Yes. The planting calendar on dyyna.bio shows every day and every month of 2027 free of charge, with day type, Moon's path and unfavourable hours. The whole calendar on paper is in the Preparations Handbook.
Is the lunar calendar 2027 calculated after Maria Thun?
Like Maria Thun, it calculates with the constellations in the sky and their different widths. Maria Thun's own sowing calendar for 2027 is published separately.
