Sowing and felling times in June

Mon, 14 June · Felling time

Birch, Pear, Linden, Black locust, Willow, Larch, Mirabelle plum, Cherry plum

Tue, 15 June · Felling time

Blackcurrant

Sowing time: sow the seeds of trees and shrubs. Felling time: cut timber that is meant to last.

Soil

Soil building and regenerative practice

Wassermanagement

Water properly: thoroughly every 3–4 days instead of a little every day. That way plants root deeper and find water for themselves.

Mulchen

In hot weather, add to the mulch layer! Covered ground can be 20–30 °C cooler than bare soil. Mulch protects soil life from overheating.

Bodenpflege

Hoe instead of watering: one hoeing saves three waterings. Breaking the soil crust interrupts the capillaries through which water evaporates.
